Indexer's Triple Keyword Retrieval In Action
(5/6)
Your index file is loaded up with files that have each been tagged with your keywords. It first opens with a list of all of these files.
All you have to do is select different combinations of keywords from 3 drop-downs. Each selection updates the result listing immediately. To preview a
file simply click on it in the result list.

Note that some keyword combinations are likely to retrieve no result at all. Colleagues - Home - Holidays is less likely to find any matches than Family - Home - Birthdays.
And remember that you can leave one or two keywords unselected, so that Friends - [no selection] - Weddings can be just as useful as specifying a place keyword.
It all depends on what you're trying to retrieve.
Indexer is more sophisticated and
faster than this web-based demo. One notable difference is that Indexer can also preview Word and Acrobat
documents - and multimedia files - whereas we're just using images here. Whatever the file type, hitting F3 in Indexer will display the selected file full-screen.
You can also open it in its 'parent' application.
Note too that Indexer enables you to import files and associated keywords from one index to another. Using this familiar triple keyword system, you can select which
files to import from another index file. You can also re-assign new keywords to multiples files in an index at any time. Also if you change a keyword, then all
files with the old keyword will be updated with the new keyword; and if you need to generate index file reports, then the contents of a report can be established
using the same triple keyword system. You'll encounter this triple keyword system in many of Indexer's different functions - and be able to harness its power
and flexibility in the management of your own files.
